*My Defaultkeybinding.dict For Mac Os
*KeyFixer - Fix Your OS X Home And End Keys
*Aug 04, 2010 Since OS X supports custom key bindings, I looked for a way to fix this. The trick is to create a file called DefaultKeyBinding.dict in the KeyBindings folder inside your Library folder. You can use this file to override the default key bindings for most applications. Here are my changes.
*Aug 13, 2018 This documentation is generated automatically from the comments and commands in the DefaultKeyBinding.dict file. The script documentkeybindings.rb is free for use, but it’s specifically designed for use with my formatting in the bindings plist (i.e. It’s a little finicky).
*While I’ve used iOS on my phone and tablet for years, a recent change in employment has brought me over to a full Mac shop for my ’desktop’ experience. My reviews have suggested some modifications to the ’DefaultKeyBinding.dict’ file using TERMINAL.
*Mar 03, 2017  If you are a seasoned Mac user, you will know that the shortcut keys “Command + Left arrow” and “Command + Right arrow” move the cursor to the start and end of the line respectively. However, if you use a full-size external keyboard for your Mac, you will find that the “Home” and “End” buttons aren’t working properly. My Defaultkeybinding.dict For Mac OsKeyFixer - Fix Your OS X Home And End KeysHello canmore32, First of all, Welcome to the  Discussion Forums! A few months back my wife spilled tea on the arrow keys. It may be simple as cleaning the affected arrow keycaps. If you have not attempted to remove the affected keycaps, to clean/replace, a good How To can be found at: How to Replace a Key on My Powerbook G4It sounds as if they are just gummed up due to the tea spill. Keep in mind you will need a gentle touch so as not to break the keycaps but you should be alright if you read the How To carefully and follow the instructions. There are many How To’s that can be found online by searching for ’repair keycaps (or insert ’clean’ instead) PowerBook G4’ or similar using a search engine such as Google etc. If your arrow functions still do not work you may need to replace keyboard in your PowerBook. You, of course, will need to re-enable the arrow functions that you disabled originally, after your have followed the How To. Good luck, littleshoulders 🙂
